The Wingfield Caravan Park is located in the picturesque village of Montford Bridge just off the main A5 and only 3 miles from Shrewsbury. Set in the rural county of Shropshire on the banks of the River Severn. We are a family run and maintained holiday home and seasonal touring pitch park.
Our park is conveniently located on the banks of the River Severn where we also offer access to the river for fishing and our newly built launch point offers canoeists the ability to launch or land safely. Located on site we also have Shrewsbury’s most popular canoe hire service ‘Hire a Canoe’, who can also provide a great selection of services for fun on the water.
The scenic park boasts an attractive riverside setting yet is conveniently located adjacent to a wonderful countryside pub. There are a number of long country trails all within walking distance and an array of cycle routes. The site has easy access to bus services and is located close to Shrewsbury town centre and the by-pass to Mid and North Wales, therefore ideally located for those wishing to enjoy the varied attractions and rural delights of Shropshire and the Welsh Marches.

Meet the Family: Frank, Denise, Claire & Jay. We are proud to have developed and now maintain The Wingfield Caravan Park. The Family run holiday home park was first established in 2010 and has gone strength to strength over the past 14 years. Starting out as 2 small empty fields, the family have developed the park into hosting 22 seasonal pitches, plus 19 lodge pitches and we are all extremely proud of these achievements, and our continued emphasis on the happiness of our customers.
With the help of the mini side of the family (Lily, Gracie & Tomos), we hope to continue to provide a place of beauty to holiday in for years to come. Continuous development and fresh ideas are our ethos and we love the little community we have created. It’s a joy to see our customers in love with the surroundings as much as we are and we readily welcome any new faces to the park.
